Jerry is done for the season until next year.
David – work projects? – boat house – on hold weather permitting
On South Lake untagged boat and where the walkout dock is – there is garbage that needs to be picked up – David, Hank, Pat to meet at the boat house to access. If weather is fine – he can continue with other projects
Fall clean up – buy water, soda, hot dogs, and condiments. BBQ should be fine. Try to get the whole board there to help out.
Projects:
Tom D: easy access to beach and water –handicap parking – if you do a new beach possible grant – (handicap) need proper grading at Warren Beach to start.
Set up canopies for shade – is there special training for lifeguards; no additional liability
Jackson beach would be better for grading and depth than Warren Beach. Shed for storage of the Mobi-mats for the winter. Also add Mobi-mats into the water near the boat launch. Also have a spot to secure a boat for easy access to get in a boat and not flip over. Blacktop from parking lot to beach before the Mobi-mat – find out the proper grading. We could be compliant at one beach for ADA. Need 3 prices. Why this specific quality, etc. Create a performance spec together, weight, durability, wear and tear. Maybe get samples
Firehouse Holiday Parade Float:
Tom’s idea: - 4 vehicles – Hank’s van – decide on the vehicle – boat, give out Swedish fish. Tom has drawings. Santa; ONLY one Santa should be in the parade – Early November finalize the design and the parade is the 1st weekend - December 6th - $100 donation to fire house re-use the float year after year. We need a budget to purchase candy, lights and supplies. Hank to be scrooge! Instead of Santa!
Benches- Marguerite- we need to decide which ones- we need them heavy so they do not get picked up and thrown into the lake. We need affordable benches. Where do we want them? It should be only one style. We could fund them via donation of a bench with plaques. In memory of? Share the bench with more than one donation plaque.
Doggie poop station – how many? Put them on the no parking signs – but neighborhood watch signs to go there.
Ball field – Rich Williams gave a drawing of where the county drainage pipe is. Rich will draw a map of where the piping should go. 1st base line out to drainage pipe. Get 3 estimates. Tommy Consulato, Ed Gerrity, Sign for new scoreboard – Rich F to get 3 prices- even if under $499 need the prices- at least for the board to review and approve.
Hank – docks – replace as is – base price – Marvin?? To give a price
Soffits for boat house to be done. Bruce Major’s kid to give a price
Marguerite – Olson’s get price – get ideas to add a sign a VFW. Talk to the town about putting it next to their sign –we should coordinate with them
Ed Gerrity waiting to start working on the fence until his truck is fixed. Duke took down the fence. –Mike Ercole got a message during the meeting that Ed got the truck back and the wall will be completed by Sunday.
Pat – fences- code in NY State – 4 foot pool only – Town code said nothing higher than 4 foot. We can have it higher – we could allow it – 4 foot should be fine? Board likes the 4 foot black fence. Hudson and Johnson start with 1 entry gate and a double gate 10 feet for lawn mower then work on Lacona.
Memorial field named ? Why? Have a memorial for Matt. It is being worked on.
Boats - take boats off or leave them on? Remove boats 2014 on Dec 1st
For next year we need to discuss car stickers & boat stickers
Halloween - 12 businesses to participate– 15-20 kids
Mass emails – start bcc and create groups; mass; board; neighborhood watch, etc…
Basketball Court – Mike and Rich to work on
Pat: Rich Williams – Fire Marshall requested a turn-around down on Hudson Beach – Rich Williams gave approval and it never happened. It is between Dave Reigns and Fire Department – Mike Ercole to get clarification.
There are abandoned boats that need to be cleaned up on PLPD clean up day. If in good condition – sell it next year.
Life guard evaluations are not in - Hank to discuss with Ben – need to be handed in ASAP.
