Lake Management:
Water chestnuts: we need a few people to remove them now and again next spring – we will find out the proper time for removal
Boat / Beach policy –no boats of any kind can be launched from the beach and only kayaks can be launched beach – never in a swim area. Do not mess with the goose fencing
It’s time to enforce that boat stickers must be on the boats. Apply 1st sticker and give a warning and then 7 days later another sticker that the boat will be removed in 7 days.
Basketball Court:
Peckham Grant – never worked out – so we need to look at options to get this moving
Send it out to bid- bring in fill and level off the area. Send another bid out for site prep and then have a bid for basketball court. Let’s order fill to be delivered. We need the Town to prepare the bids. Give them details for separate bids by the next Town Board meeting.
Volleyball Net has been order and should be delivered next week. We can contact Stacey Meade to start the beach volleyball
T-shirts for the PLPD with the logo on it – Let’s get prices - we will personally pay for the shirts
Get approval to purchase the used boat motor from the PLFD
Lifeguard: Board approved Jill Leahy

Lake Management


Schedule a July Cutrine application – DEC needs 1 week notice to make the application. Apply for the 3rd week in July and we can always apply it the 4th week in July.  We will plan to avoid the swim team meets.
Recycle bins: Have Gerry make them and put them out
Code Enforcer: We need to enforce and have cars with stickers – otherwise we will tow
Parking lines at Warren Beach: Pat will investigate how to do this
Septic tank cover: we need one to check out if this will work. If it works we can order more for each garbage pail.
Security cabinet: We need one for the boat house
Doggie Bags – Marguerite and Lucinda will replenish the doggie stations baggies next week
EZDOCKS: Hank will set up a date to look at them
Boats on the Beach policy: Boats should not be inside the walkouts:
Newfie Club on Fairfield beach – we will waive the charge. Run the dogs to practice saving people and have rescue on Sunday’s 10-2pm
Clean up and debris and have insurance
ID badges: Pat will buy the holders and the lanyards and have ids made up
Town Board at the VFW hasn’t had anything posted on it for weeks. Lucinda requested some items to be posted and it was never posted.
Replacement Board member: We need to post for the position. Letter of interest by 8/12/16 and interviews on 8/18/16
Scoreboard replacement: Joe D. got 3 quotes for a new sign.  We will budget for next year.
Real Budget needed for 2017 – Pat will find out what we need to do

Lake Management:
Cutrine + has been applied and the lake looks great. We may schedule another treatment
DASNY grant – has been approved but has to go through a process in Finance and then to the town for approval and hopefully be ready for the fall of 2016
Parklands:
Walking Path: We are still looking for volunteers to clear the wood and cut down trees and vines
The board has to approve any trees/brush around the parkland prior to being removed/cut down
Garbage pickup: Pat addressed some missing trash pickup with the actual truck driver and helper
We had a request to add more garbage pails around the lake – we will add more to the budget for 2017
Illegal parking: Working with the town to enforce the code – we do not get the details of the tickets. The parking is only for PLPD residents during the day that are using the parklands and beaches
Beaches:
Dock replacement – looking at EZdocks – looking to replace them with a nice product but it being held up due to a DASNY equipment grant.
Ballfield: Basketball court – we had extensive work done to reduce the drainage issue and the County helped with the supplies
Recreation & Events:
Music on the Beach: at Warren Beach - Petey Hop will play on 7/16; Scotty and his son will play on 8/13
Bass Tournament: 7/16/16
Swim Team: at home meets are: 7/14 & 7/22 at Warren Beach
National Night Out Block Party: 8/2 – It strengthens our relationship with Law enforcement and it gives the message that criminals are not welcome in the lake; Fire Department Rescue boat; fire engines, Music  will be there – Lock your doors - Leave your lights on and come on down to the ballfield from 6-9 pm
Rich Filipelli handed in his resignation last Thursday. So we are looking for a new board member.
Public recognition:
Question: How do we control sea grass: carp is the answer to clear it.
Question: It looks like there are more lily pads than in the past, but overall there aren’t more
Water chestnuts need to be removed – we do not have a lot of them.
Note: The eagles are still here. We also have otters in the lake. Bears have been spotted all around the lake.
Question: Can we have a movie at Warren beach? Try a test run and if it works we can have a movie night.
