Minutes: for Sept 3rd & 17th approved.
Grant/Carp/Carp Gate:
It looks positive for the grant for the carp gate. The gate and carp are approved. The DEC requested an additional permit Article RFD15. After the paperwork is completed, the DEC approves it and the contracts are signed, then the bidding process starts. Work on the carp gate would be next year in the Fall of 2016. The lake needs to be drained at the end of the season in order to install the gate. Carp would be introduced into our lake in the Spring of 2017.
Ballfield:
Basketball court: trees have been cleared, boulders have been put in as a barrier, the fill has been spread out.
Youth sports for the fall on the ballfield. We need volunteers to organize. It is available for use, flea market, etc
We can consider Horseshoes, bocce etc
A sign is posted that dogs must be leashed. We need to update the sign that no dogs allowed on the field.
Walking Path: Sat & Sun10/3-10/4 – lopping shears, clippers are needed. No electric/gas powered tools. We just need to clear the fallen brush and small brush. It will then be marked by the surveyor.
Garbage pails: They have been put together and are ready to be put out around the parkland / lake
Rafts: Need quotes/prices
Doggie stations: we need new prices in order to get more. They are working. People are using them
Halloween window painting: on 10/3: About 20 + kids and 10+ businesses are participating
Board member: We are accepting applications at town hall
Glass Case: Flyers have been posted: board member wanted; Halloween painting; Fall brush clean up – Thanks to Alicia Earle for creating the signs/flyers
