2. All board members were in attendance.
3. A motion was made to accept the minutes from the previous meeting.
4. Mike Ercole was chosen by the PAB and approved by the Patterson Town Board as the new PAB member.
5. Dede read the public notice regarding boat stickers and registration. “The Putnam Lake Park Advisory Board is reminding all residents that boats stored on the parkland, or used on the Lake must be registered by May 15, 2013. Any boats not displaying a 2013 registration after this date may be subject to removal from the parklands. Residents may obtain boat tags at Patterson Town Hall. Mail-in forms and additional information are available atwww.PutnamLakeParkDistrict.com.
6. RFP’s for lake studies - the board is currently reviewing proposals. The three components are:
a. Bathometric mapping of lake (completed last year)
b. Weed mapping
c. In-lake water analysis
7. CSLAP program was discussed; Putnam Lake was accepted. The major benefits are they provide a five-year commitment in which free testing and analysis is performed. Only 115 lakes were chosen out of a potential 7,500 in the state of NY.
8. A priority list was discussed for the opening of Jackson and Warren Beaches. This included formulating policies and procedures based on the framework of Chapter 116. Further discussions will ensue at the next meeting.
9. Discussions were had with residents regarding security, debris removal (and other parkland clean-up), the softball league, Jackson Beach renovations, and the Piranhas swim team and swim lessons.
