June 4, 2015 – Public Session

6/5/2015

Members in attendance – Hank Earle, Mike Ercole, Marguerite Shortt, Laura Russo, Tom Douglas, Pat Ploeger

Pledge of Allegiance
Minutes approved for May.

Old Business:
Lake Management:
Algaecide treatments 2 treatments – Cultrine and before July 4th weekend copper sulfate
Carp: What do we have to do to get Carp? DEC wants public notice and feed back from the community. The Board also wants to hear from the community
Out of District memberships: Not sure how to handle it. We wanted an easy solution but there are a lot of issues to deal with. We will listen to all ideas and explore them.
Basketball courts: We want to work on this year, if not for next season. Put it at the far end of the ball field. We need a survey and professional help to advise us on the best solution. Approx. 50x84
Fire Dept community board - pending
Beach tags: to be handed out from 10-2 pm each day - June 6th, 7th, 13th & 14th
Doggie posts: have been put up. The signs were delivered wrong and have been resent. They will be put up soon. All dogs within the park district have to be picked up.
Garbage cans – 6 cans have been ordered - they will be put around the parklands.
Walkout and rafts – aluminum with composite – will try for next year unless the price is awesome we will get them this year. A company came up and gave us an estimate. Jackson Beach should have a walkout. Possibly move the old ones to that beach. There is a serious issue with drainage on that side
Beaches will be open 7 days a week starting June 25th.

New Business: June 27th Summer Cool Down – Free ice cream 1pm raindate: June 28th
Swim Team – Any kids that want to join can sign up – see the flyer
Beach party – Warren Beach - August 1

Neighborhood Signs: Ready to be put up. We need to get permission from the county to add them to the county signs
Glass case is always updated; check out the website
Neighborhood Watch Meeting – June 29th – at the fire house - Putnam County ASPCA will be the guest
