The meeting was called to order and the following board members were in attendance: Hank Earle; Mike Ercole, Pat Ploeger, Rich Filippelli, Marguerite Shortt, and Laura Russo. Town Board member Pete Dandreano was also in attendance.
The minutes from the previous meeting were accepted.
Hank gave an update on the lake management. – Pete updated that Greg Ball’s office said the grant is moving along.
Pat updated that the permits are approved for copper sulfate and Cutrine Plus.
Second weed study was done June 23&24. We do not have a price yet. He will let us know if it is feasible.
Mike provided the swim schedule.
The report from Dr Effing – studied the inflows to the lake; drainage and streams. It does show phosphorous and fecal matter.
FOLA Lower Hudson Lakes Conference will be on July 18, featuring Scott Kishbaugh and Chris Doyle. All are welcome to attend. A $5 donation is requested to cover the food.
Activities: Softball – Everyone is happy – sign is posted – no alcohol – it’s been mentioned Joe needs to keep it in control – no fights and it can’t get crazy. We need a balance. Not everyone wants league play on Sunday’s.
Swim Team- 38 kids already registered and paid – 1st meet 8am on the 8th – final registration by July 7th. You can join if you are grandfathered in.
Swim Lessons- $70/member $95/non-member - $100 proposed outside fee but board approved $95. Due to low enrollment – if members fill all spots – non members will not be allowed to participate.
6 per lesson/6 per session = 18 per day – 1st come – 1st served
Child Safety Day – July 13th at VFW – all are welcome
Neighborhood Watch – July 10th – at the firehouse
Luau – July 19th – adults only - at the beach – if rain: Sacred Heart Church Hall
Beaches and Parklands –The signs are up and they look great.
Discussion of where to post the sign for no boats beyond these points
Boats that are not in a proper spot – will be stickered for 2 weeks and then removed.
Pat will find out the proper wording and which 2 publications to post the auction notice for boats – ask Town for approval
Proposed auction date: July 26th – preview 9am and auction at 10 am
Geese – Need goose off/ribbons on fences – Hank will start with Mason line and wood stakes – maybe high grass – droppings need to be addressed – life guards are supposed to be cleaning it up – Hank will remind them 1 lifeguard to watch and 1 to clean up
Signs: How many? How much space between each sign? Cost? Can the County sign Dept make them? Pat sent Sue a letter. Proposed white sign = black or red writing
Signs to promote the website – 3 signs @ $200 - from Olson’s
Shed – rip down shed and Hank will order one from home Depot on Monday the 7th and order 4 yards of gravel.
Website: Want to expand content – tag sales – notifications – for sale, etc…
Magnets for the cars while patrolling & enforcing rules of the Park District and shirts were looked at.
“We are in authority” call 911 for issues – Mike Schmit is our Liaison
There will be extra patrols during the summer months – we need to build a relationship with the Sheriffs.
Maintenance person – interviews 7th & 8th. The Town Board Meeting is on the 9th.

845 has been contracted to cut the grass < $150 per mow
