Grant: Still in process – not sure of the status

Pat Ploeger sent out RFQ for Aquatic Vegetation Management. Sent to 3 vendors
Town engineer/Town – pending – give it about a month to hear back and then we make a decision for our next step.
Pat Ploeger called Rich Williams on 2/5/15 and hasn’t heard back yet.

We will pick color for wrist bands, boat stickers and car stickers at the work session

Vines and Trees: Hank to get some prices – chip and or take away. What look do we want? Not cutting of good trees. Get rid of fallen trees, dead trees. But only cut a tree or prune it for the health of the tree. Should we look at the prisoners from the county jail? But it is complicated to organize with having them not trained to use the equipment. (chain saws, etc…)

Starting to work on swim team, life guards

Neighborhood Watch Signs– to be put up on existing poles. We have 80 signs
Next meeting for neighborhood watch: March 9th – 7pm @ firehouse

Spring clean up Day – tentative April 18th
Newsletter: not completed – but in the process

Easter egg hunt – section off 2 sides for the different age kids – sign to advertise it

Rich Williams was supposed to have divers in the lake but it is to cold. Postpone it until spring when it is warmer. Patch it temporarily and access the damage and decide on a plan.

Possibility of moving this meeting from the church to the fire house @ $50 per session. Suggestion for work sessions here at the church and public sessions at the firehouse. We need to decide based on the dates that are available. Public session could move to 2nd Tuesday of the month.

Feb 5th Work Session

Joe – baseball field – softball budget stipend for Joe - $1,000, he cleans the bushes, cleans outfield, spends a lot of time at the field. Bottle caps are being left on the floor. Joe cleans all debris, but there are things being left behind that are no longer acceptable.
We need a Captains meeting with Joe and the captains.

Gerry Dolan– Swim team – Meets - forecasted: change the hours and give a decent rate – can’t go over 90 hours for the season
Head Coach @ $12.25 per hour @ 15 hours per week @ 6 weeks $1102.50
1st assistant @ $9 per hour @15 hours per week @ 6 weeks - $810
2nd assistant @ $8 @ 15 hours per week @ 6 weeks - $720
One of the coaches will not be returning – move out of state. We need a new 2nd assistant.
Swim team practice will start Monday, June 29th
Registration starts: Thursday, May 21st 5 -7pm & Sat June 13th @ 9-12pm
25 additional families from outside the district - $125 per family + swim team fees noted below
1st child $90
2nd child $65
3rd child $60
Lake Tonetta charges per child and no discount for additional child

Do we need an official work order?
RFP’s were sent out on the 16th of Jan and we want them back by the Feb 16th.  Sent to 3 vendors.

Sign at fire department – we will split the price 50/50. Fire department is okay with the sign. There is a 3-4 week delivery and set up
Hydrant and leveling at Hudson Beach – pending the weather.

Order wrist bands – stock red – wristconnection.com 500 pieces $225.00
Discount Labels – 400 stickers 4in x 4in – $192.68 stamped with number – sample on website for review
Car stickers – yes or no – no - work on this for next year 2016. Get an idea from the public

Newsletter: How to mail? Letter from the DEC needs to be sent also. Add a flyer ‘How to Love Your Lake’ Get a price for Pete to create the mailing. 2000 pieces – collates, folds. Bulk mailing.

Rebuild/Redeck the rafts if not affordable from the raft guy in Long Island.
Ropes, floats, etc  all need to be already for spring.

Allied –when do the notices need to be sent?
Clearing the trees – if the price reasonable – we need to find someone.

Boat removals – Antoinette said the letter is ready to go. Give her a date and she will send it out.
Boats – the old boats need to be removed. Get a dumpster

Additional projects – ball field is pending until we get an engineer and no snow

Little league – meet next work session with Rob

We need a volunteer to start a soccer league
Kevin Burns may be a good contact to find guys to volunteer to coach the kids
We can possibly supply shirts and balls. We need to give the kids something to do locally.

Hank got a phone call and email from Shaun Rogan – met about life guard management – he will come to the 19th  work session
Easy access – Tom is working on it

Black Dragons – pending – waiting for a sample form from town attorney to give – possibly a spring project

Neighborhood watch – signs are in. We need nuts and bolts to hang the signs. 10 signs per zone. Find each pole to hang them

Glass case at Market - ideas – to put stuff in there.

Easter egg hunt – split up age groups

We have the permit for goose egg oiling. Need a helper to oil the eggs. Mid April – Hank will help

Invite additional non-resident families – Pat will talk to the town about adding to the bi-laws.

Possibility of a gazebo at Hudson beach? Rent it for the day, must have 2 life guards. Tables, picnic benches, cement floor. Post a board – for a private party. After hours – when the beach is closed – could we rent out Warren beach? Yes.
We need to have parking? What is the maximum amount of people?
Look over the bench print outs Marguerite dropped off – dog bags, etc…Will we discuss at the next meeting
